Our Story
Earlybirds was established in November 2002, following the birth of founder Lynda Day's son who was ten weeks premature, weighing 1.2 kgs/3 pounds. Lynda experienced enormous difficulty finding clothes to fit her baby during his first few months. To alleviate this problem for other parents and carers, Lynda decided to develop a range of clothing specifically for premature and small babies.
Research and Development
After 12 months of research involving Paediatricians, NICU specialists and parents, Earlybirds' inaugural collection was born. As premature babies' needs are different, great care has been taken in selecting designs and materials to ensure maximum comfort and ease of dressing. The highest quality natural and organic cotton have been sourced and tested thoroughly ensuring they are free from harmful chemicals and substances.

Earlybirds vision is to create beautiful, soft and functional garments to meet the needs of every early bird at every stage of their journey, from the NICU through to going home. Our range includes collections made from natural cotton and certified organic cotton. Our organic cotton is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
There are sizing options to accommodate babies from 800g through to 3.5kg, allowing your baby to wear clothes that fit every single time. We believe it should be much simpler for all babies regardless of their size to look beautiful and have functional outfits that can suit their care needs at the same time.
