Events - supporting premature babies
Walk For Prems
On Sunday 20th November families across Australia will walk together to celebrate our Little Treasures, remember their Little Angels and raise funds to provide vital services for families in need of support.
Walk for Prems 2021 is the largest annual fundraiser by Life’s Little Treasures Foundation, Australia’s foremost charity dedicated to supporting the families of babies born sick or prior to 37 weeks gestation. Its families helping families.
In its 13th year, the WALK will take place simultaneously across 6 locations - Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth.
The Walk has raised over 3 million dollars and this year the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation hopes to raise $360,000.
Earlybirds has proudly supported Walk for Prems from the very first walk, over 12 years ago.

Running for Premature Babies
We have formed a partnership with Running for Premature Babies, an organisation raising funds for research and equipment for the Royal Hospital for Women Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Thousands of people have run with the team, raising more than $5 million to give critically ill babies the best start to life.

NICU Cheer
Earlybirds proudly supports Maddie Francis and her wonderful team at NICU Cheer who are put together and distribute gift bags which are delivered to parents of premature/sick babies in the NICU and Special Care Nurseries. Gift bags are delivered at Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
There are many ways you can help support NICU Cheer by either Supplying Goods, Donating Funds, Lending a Hand and Purchasing Items to be included in the bags from the NICU Cheer Gift Registry.

Australian College of Neonatal Nurses
The Neonatal Nurse Family Appreciation Award provides an opportunity for a family to nominate a nurse who they feel deserves to be recognised for delivering outstanding care and support to a family and their infant while in the neonatal unit. The awards are announced every year on World Prematurity Day, 17th November.
